From "Allegany County and its People": John Coller, of English stock, born in 1775 in New Jersey, came from Susquehanna Co., PA, with his wife, Hannah Rynearson, and several children, with wagons, in June, 1829, and located 150 acres on the southeast corner of lot 9, where he resided until his death in February, 1860. Both he and his wife were members of the Free Will Baptist Church of Wirt. They were typical pioneers. Mrs. Coller died in 1850. The children who came with them were Isaac R., Rachel, Hannah, James VanNess, and William, who succeeded to the old farm where he died in 1888.

We have visited the Coller Farm described as "150 acres on the southwest corner of lot 9" several times. It's located on Moulton Rd. just a few miles south of Cuba, NY. All that is left is a foundation in the ground. There are several perrenial flowers and rhubarb plants next to the foundation. One year, we picked some "Coller rhubarb" and brought it home where it was turned into rhubarb pies and sauce! We recently travelled to Wellsville and found Jasper Coller's grave. In the past, we have located the graves of other family members including William K., Fanny, Elizabeth, and their spouses.
